Japan Insight Pass is operated by Jakore. We are committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how it is used. This policy applies to all users of japaninsightpass.com and the JIP platform.
We collect: (a) Account data — your name, email address, and company name when you register. (b) Profile data — your preferred language, Japan focus area, and any company documents or URLs you upload to improve report personalization. (c) Usage data — pages visited, AI queries made, reports requested, and agent interactions. (d) Payment data — billing status and subscription tier (payment card details are handled exclusively by Lemon Squeezy and never stored by us).
Your data is used to: deliver and personalize intelligence reports and knowledge base content; operate the AI Navigator and generate contextually relevant responses; send the weekly Japan digest and transactional emails; improve service quality and train internal models (using aggregated, non-identifiable signals only); process payments and manage your subscription.
We work with the following sub-processors: Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU/US); Anthropic (AI model inference for the Navigator and report generation); Resend (transactional and newsletter email delivery); Lemon Squeezy (payment processing and subscription management). Each processor operates under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data — including your profile, uploaded files, memory entries, and report history — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Aggregated and anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can manage most data directly from your Account page. For requests that cannot be fulfilled through the platform, contact yony@jakore.com.
JIP uses session cookies for authentication only. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from signing in.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on the database, and token-based authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
